Surface Paving and Traffic Signal Work Progressing
Work Completed Last Week The contractor began installing concrete foundations for the permanent traffic signals at the Rollins Road and Nicole Lane/Woodbine Drive intersection. Pavement patches were placed at the Hook Drive and Orchard Lane intersection, and miscellaneous curb and gutter replacements were completed. Frame and lid adjustments within the pavement along Nicole Lane and Woodbine Drive were also completed in preparation for Hot Mix Asphalt surface course placement.
Work Anticipated This Week Concrete foundation installation for the permanent traffic signals at the Rollins Road and Nicole Lane/Woodbine Drive intersection is expected to be completed. Longitudinal joint sealant and tack coat are anticipated to be placed along Hook Drive, Nicole Lane, and Woodbine Drive in preparation for Hot Mix Asphalt surface course paving. Surface course paving is scheduled to follow along all three roadways. Installation of the aggregate base for sidewalks at the intersection corners is also planned.
Neighborhood Impacts Construction traffic may be entering and exiting the Hook Drive Extension site at Nicole Lane. Residents and drivers in the area should use caution when traveling near the project entrance.
