Aggregate Subgrade and Utility Work Progressing

Work Completed This Week
The contractor completed the proof roll and performed necessary subgrade undercuts throughout the Hook Drive Extension corridor. A pressure test was completed on the east section of the 8-inch ductile iron water main. Excavation for directional drilling across Orchard Lane was completed, and two runs of street lighting conduit were installed across the corridor.

Silt fence was installed along Nicole Lane and Woodbine Lane, and the remaining subgrade excavation at the Hook Drive limits near Orchard Lane and Nicole Lane was completed, with excess material hauled off-site. The contractor also installed the 9-inch PGE aggregate subgrade along approximately 95 percent of the corridor and stabilized slopes with permanent seed and blanket. Storm sewer installation began along Nicole Lane. Placement of the 3-inch capping aggregate was also scheduled to begin Saturday.
