Work Completed This Week The contractor completed the water main tap into the existing system along Orchard Lane and installed the remaining 8-inch ductile iron water main in that area. A temporary asphalt patch was placed over the trench.
Work Anticipated Next Week Drying and compaction of the subgrade are expected to continue along the Hook Drive Extension in preparation for proof rolling. Remaining subgrade excavation at the limits near Orchard Lane and Nicole Lane is scheduled to be completed. Installation of conduit and street lighting foundations is planned to begin, along with roadway pipe underdrains and placement of aggregate subgrade. Installation of silt fence along Nicole Lane and Woodbine Lane is anticipated, and storm sewer installation is expected to begin along Nicole Lane.
Neighborhood Impacts Construction traffic may be entering and exiting the Hook Drive Extension site at Nicole Lane. Residents and drivers in the area should use caution when traveling near the project entrance. Please watch for construction signage, follow all posted traffic control measures, and visit this website for weekly updates throughout the duration of the project.
