Work Completed This Week The contractor installed the capping aggregate along the Hook Drive Extension and completed installation of roadway pipe underdrains throughout the corridor. All storm sewer frames located within the curb and gutter sections were installed, and PCC curb and gutter placement was completed along the extension.
Work Anticipated Next Week Backfilling behind the newly installed curb and gutter is planned to begin along the Hook Drive Extension. Fine grading of the aggregate subgrade is expected to take place in preparation for Hot Mix Asphalt binder course paving. Storm sewer installation along Nicole Lane is anticipated to continue, and Hot Mix Asphalt binder course paving is scheduled to begin along the corridor. Stabilization work within the detention basins is also planned to continue. Maintenance transfer activities and installation of temporary traffic signals at Rollins Road and Nicole Lane/Woodbine Lane are anticipated to take place.
Neighborhood Impacts Construction traffic may be entering and exiting the Hook Drive Extension site at Nicole Lane. Residents and drivers in the area should use caution when traveling near the project entrance. Please watch for construction signage, follow all posted traffic control measures, and visit this website for weekly updates throughout the duration of the project.
