Sidewalk and Roadway Finishing Work Continuing

Work Completed This Week
The contractor continued topsoil respread along Nicole Lane and Woodbine Drive and completed additional concrete sidewalk placement. Concrete curb and gutter, along with the concrete driveway at the northern Oak Hill entrance from Hook Drive, were poured. The Lake County Courthouse sign was also reinstalled along Nicole Lane.

Directional drilling for the proposed traffic signal conduit at the Rollins Road and Nicole Lane/Woodbine Drive intersection continued. The contractor prepared and paved Hot Mix Asphalt binder course at the driveways along Nicole Lane and Woodbine Drive. Installation of conduit for the streetlight pole bases was completed, and concrete was poured for all streetlight pole bases and the streetlight foundation along the Hook Drive Extension. Pull tape was also installed through the street lighting conduit in preparation for future cable installation.

Work Anticipated Next Week
Topsoil respread along Nicole Lane and Woodbine Drive is expected to continue. Concrete sidewalk placement is anticipated to progress throughout the week. Milling, pavement patching, and placement of the leveling binder course along Nicole Lane and Woodbine Drive are scheduled to be completed.

Neighborhood Impacts

Construction traffic may be entering and exiting the Hook Drive Extension site at Nicole Lane. Residents and drivers in the area should use caution when traveling near the project entrance. Please watch for construction signage, follow all posted traffic control measures, and visit this website for weekly updates throughout the duration of the project.
